Černá v Pošumaví (746 above see level) lies on the shore of the biggest dam in the Czech Republic (45 km long) is a small village with 826 inbabitants but has more than 740 years of interesting history. With its position it stands as a centre of the whole area. The widest part of the lake makes good conditions for yachting and windurfing and of course it hot spot for fishing. Along the shore there can be found numerous camping sites. Beautiful nature of ŠUMAVA National Park, hiking and cycling tracks on both sides of the lake, nearby Český Krumlov UNESCO protected ancient town are reasons for visiting this beautiful part of Europe.
